Faster than a melting glue stick,
more powerful with E6000,
and able to leap craft stores in a single bound...
When in doubt, add some fucking GLITTER!!!

So that's why they call it that...
Scenario 1
Generic Co-worker: "I didnt know you knew how to knit."
Me: "I don't - yet. This is crochet"
Scenario 2
Generic Co-worker: "What are you knitting?"
Me: "Nothing. But I am crocheting this cute insert project name here."
Sigh.
I got a Stitch n Bitch knitters calendar from a friend at work. The only problem is that I don't know how to knit.
I've been planning on learning the fine art of knitting. I can now cast on. The knit stitch, however... Well, let's just say that now I know why it's called Stitch n Bitch. Grrrrrrrrr
There is hope! Here is a site that has video to help those of us knittingly challenged!! I'm going to knit that stitch yet!!

Swap: Dollar Store Swap Round 3 SENT
I have the best swap partner EVER!! Gishygoo is going to be married soon, has two kitties and likes primary colors, bags, hanging picture frames, and unique refrigerator magnets.
List of supplies from the Dollar Store:
- Ugly photo album
- Cream colored fleece scarf
- Cream colored tassel ornaments
- Gold glitter glue sticks (ignore the silver ones in the pic)
- Large clear marble magnets
- Plain wooden heart plaque
- Window shaped frame
- Plain Frame
- Pearl Bracelet
- White Tulle circles
A photo album that could be used as is, or as part of a centerpiece or decoration.
The heart was purposely left “unfinished”. I thought she might like to personalize it. (Those arent candies, they're heart shaped marbles!!)
Some pretty little accessories. (I bought a pearly bracelet matched nicely with the fabric covered items.) I made three sets of earrings.
“Save the Date” set of magnets, and a fabric covered one. (sorry about the blurry pic)
My personal fave - a handpainted Rose Garden Window frame that makes me think of my own rose garden. The red tulle is supposed to be like sheer curtains.
I used some leftover silky material that has an Oriental feel to it to jazz up this frame.

How to identify a UFO
A UFO is an UnFinished Object. Usually pertaining to crafty objects of any medium that will sit waiting patiently to become a beautiful piece of work. This term can also be applied to non-crafty projects.
You might have a UFO if:
- You cannot tell what the UFO is supposed to look like anymore, because you have been off on other crafty ventures.
- You have a craft area/house from hell because you have so many UFOs.
- You keep calling them WIP (Works in Progress) because it sounds better than UnFinished Object.
- You have several projects started, each in its own bag.
- Each UFO project bag has everything needed to finish said project, including instructions and a picture of the finished project.
- You expect your children to finish those projects should you meet an untimely demise

"Commissioned" Crochet Pumpkin
I used a variation of this pattern. I was already halfway done with it when I realized I had the wrong sized hook. I just kept going because it's a few days before Halloween, and I don't know if I will see my friend before then.

Swap: Sweet Treats Round 3 SENT
Edit: This swap proved to be challenging, as well as educational. I learned all about my new sewing machine, and that I don't like working with silky type material.
